And a Happy Turkey Day to You

We are skipping the turkey and trimmings this year in favor of pad thai and spring rolls. Come tomorrow, we expect to find ourselves on the beaches of Phuket raising our pina coladas to the spirit of Thanksgiving, and (I imagine) being thankful that we are on a tropical island and have a neverending supply of fruity frozen beverages. Who needs pilgrim hats when you have fresh pineapple?

In any case, happy holidays to everyone back home! I expect to return with lots of pretty pictures next week -- it doesn't hurt that I took a photography class this weekend and so am actually able to *understand* my new camera a little more, instead of just pointing it at things and hoping for the best. Hoping for happy accidents, you might say. See you soon!
