Tokyo: Quite Possibly the Greatest City in the World. Or at least Asia.

I was lucky enough to spend the last week in Tokyo, where despite the fact that it was very cold (my blood has grown accustomed to 88 degree days!) and that I caught a cold (cold breeds germs, apparently), I had myself a little Japanese-style blast. Actually, I worked a lot, and slept a lot (thanks, cold) but I still managed to make it out and see some fantastic Tokyo things.

And now, our regularly scheduled adorable kitty photos. Seriously, they just get cuter (and fatter) every day. They also seem to have missed me and have been demanding much lap snuggle time since I've been back, which I have happily obliged.

Hey Betsy,

My wife found your fashion blog and sent me the link to your photoblog. She loves clothes and I love photography, so you offered us good sources to both! We live about an hour or so south of Tokyo and one of my hobbies is to shoot photos just about everywhere that I can take my camera.

What type of photography equipment do you use? You have a great eye for shooting.

About me

Well, hello there. You've reached the photoblog of Betsy, who has not actually lived in China for some time. The site name is not a total lie: She did live in Beijing from 2003-2005, but then moved to Singapore from 2006-2007. In late 2007, she returned home to the U.S., where she plans to continue posting pictures of her travels around the States and frequent trips back to Asia, and asks you all to just kindly accept the incorrect name of this site for just a little while longer. If you're crazy for Asia pictures, there are lots and lots of archives below that will surely satisfy that itch.

I also keep a fashion blog, if that's the kind of thing that interests you.

Want more? Go ahead and send me a note. I love mail!

About my cameras

Most of the pictures on this site have been taken with various versions of the Canon Elph (Ixus in Asia), most recently the Canon Elph SD400, which I purchased in late 2005. In early 2007, I also began using a Nikon D80 SLR camera with an 18-200mm kit lens and, more recently, a 52mm lens.
